Biography
At only 6 years old J (Jerry B. Hall II) picked up a pen and began to write. Unaware of the journey ahead of him he kept writing his feelings through poetry and songs since that time. At the age of 11 he was influenced heavily by mainstream rap. His writing became violent, dark, and even evil. When he reached the age of 13 he got back into Church, he was literally torn between music and God. Soon the realization that his music could have a Christian message as well as a personal outlook began to dawn on him. Talent grew, inspiration increased with every stroke of the pen. The influence of Steven Cooper (lyrycyst) played a part in Versifyer's growth as an artist by showing him that chains really can be broken. With increasing intensity, Versifyer picked up every trick and tool of the mainstream rap industry to put it into his songs. When he discovered his own unique style he forged it with the styles he had picked up from others, finally becoming a true artist. With many people telling him that his music was evil, banning him from certain opportunities and accusing him of being satanic, he kept on pressing toward his calling from God. Now at the age of 17 Versifyer has a passion for Christ that burns loud through his music.
Versifyer's origin
I got the name Versifyer while looking up alternate words for Lyricist. A versifier (as it is spelled properly) is one who writes verses. Well I do my own graphics designing, and this is where it gets interesting. I was incerdibly tired and I spelled the word wrong while creating a logo, then decided it should be my name. The next day I woke up and realized my mistake, but I couldn't redo the logo properly without my "Y" so it sort of stuck.
